Events

We do lots of exciting things at St John's Under 5's Pre-school.

In the past year we have enjoyed special celebrations including Eid, Christmas, Chinese New Year and Easter and have held various fund raising events including Cupcake day for Alzheimers and a raffle for a community AED Defibrillator.

We loved dressing up in our pyjama's for world book day and have enjoyed listening to stories and different cultural songs from our visitors.

Even though we have being faced with one of the toughest years because of Covid-19, we still managed to have lots of fun . We even had a graduation ceremony when some of our children left to go to 'big school'!

Oral Hygiene 2024

This half term our focus was on oral hygiene. We spoke to the children about how important it is to take care of our teeth and why we brush them. We spoke about what happens when we visit the dentist.

Throughout the half term, we have done a variety of activities linked with oral health, we have done pretend teeth brushing on fake teeth, we have had dentist role play accessible to the children and we have also encourages the dummy and bottle fairy to arrive at nursery with a present in return.
